The best thing about February is looking forward to Spring and spotting all the little signs of nature coming back up to full speed.
Snowdrops are out already, crocuses are on their way, and the garden birds are looking busy…
and so are the Field Nats, with many exciting events coming up over the next few weeks.
We have something for everyone… a coach trip to Saltholme RSPB; local walks along Rochdale Canal and in Ealees and Whittaker Wood; a car trip to Woolston Eyes Nature Reserve near Warrington; evening meetings on a farm Rewilding project and on the really successful local project at Stoneyhill. There are hands on Owl pellet and Earthworm workshops for the less squeamish; and you can enjoy learning about Lice, Ticks and Bot flies in the comfort of your own home on Zoom.
All for the ridiculously cheap annual membership of £10
(coach fare £20; £3 entry fee for indoor meetings, £4 for non-members)

You can also find practical details about most of the events on the Calendar – on the left if you’re looking at this on a PC, or you might have to scroll down to find it on a tablet or phone. Just highlight the event and click ‘more details’.
We hope you can join us!
