As this event is so close to Christmas we decided to make it a Half Day walk.
Please meet at the Earlier time of 10.00am at the Car Park for Queen’s Park, Heywood OL10 4AA , SD 856 116, What3Words ///pounds.translated.fries .
We plan to walk a circuit of the Park on surfaced paths and tracks, hoping to see woodland birds and waterfowl. Paths beside the River Roch towards Plumpton Wood (probably muddier) may yield dipper and kingfisher and perhaps grassland fungi.
We aim to finish by 12.30pm giving you the chance to go off and do more Christmas shopping….
OR linger at the Queens Park Café for lunch.
The Normal menu will be available – plus cakes and hot drinks

- Christmas lunch at £13 with veggie option
- Giant Yorkshire Pud wraps with Turkey etc for £6
Please Note – it will help the staff to know in advance the numbers wanting the Christmas lunch!
