This month we will not be running a car trip. Instead, we’re encouraging you to go along and join in the The Manchester Festival of Nature at Heaton Park on 26th June, starting at 11.00am. Entrance is FREE. A whole raft of organisations such as the RSPB, Wildlife Trusts, City of Trees and RHS Bridgewater will be showing what they are doing to reverse the decline in nature. There’ll be lots of activities, talks and performances to celebrate wildlife. You can take part in tree and plant identification, get busy with bushcraft, wildflower planting and much more. To raise awareness of the plight of bees there will be a pollinator parade where you can don your best stripes, wings and headband boppers to BEE Yourself! If all this is a bit too much there’s always the natural wonderland of the park itself to explore. If you would like to meet up with other members, we will be at the Stables cafe until 11.15 am.
