ALL EVENTS POSTPONED
The steering committee have been monitoring the information from the government about the actions to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Yesterday’s statement asked everyone to avoid non-essential social gatherings. As many of our members are at the age of the most at risk group from the outbreak the Rochdale Field Naturalists’ Society has decided to suspend ALL our events for the foreseeable future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully and to heed expert advice as to when our programme may resume. Updates will be emailed to members and will be published on our website (rochdalefieldnaturalists.org.uk) and Facebook page.
Despite these restrictions we hope that members will continue to enjoy local wildlife, even if only in your own garden. We would like you to continue to send your photos to our Facebook page and your observations to our recording team (rfnsrecords@gmail.com) Hopefully these unprecedented times will be over soon, and we can get back to our usual activities.
