For those of you interested in what Rochdale has to offer the naturalist, the 2018 sightings in the Borough have now been added to the website. They can be seen by clicking on the appropriate link in the Left Hand Column, eg Birds or Flowering Plants, and scrolling down to the bottom of the page. Click on the link provided and a spreadsheet opens showing our sightings from 2016 -2018.
It’s interesting to note what is seen each year. Of course just because no one records it doesn’t mean that the species isn’t in the area, as for the Larch in our tree sightings, although it may be the case. Of more interest is the increase in species being noted, particularly among the invertebrates.
