The postponed AGM will take place on 9th January 2025, Cutgate Baptist Church, at 19:30. There will be no charge for entry to members. We expect the AGM to take no longer than half an hour and it will be followed by one of the more important talks of the year. RFNS members helped to shape the GM Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and this is our chance to find out more about it.
The Draft Greater Manchester Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) is here and open for public consultation. It’s the city-region’s first-ever statutory plan dedicated to nature recovery. The strategy outlines a bold vision, clear aims and targeted actions to tackle the biodiversity emergency and enhance access to nature across our city-region.
Paul Barrington, from Greater Manchester Local Record Centre, will introduce the strategy and provide an overview of the resources and where to access them as well as giving a behind the scenes look at how the strategy and maps were developed. Habitat and species data, including data and information submitted by RFNS members, helped to shape this plan and the maps.
