In August, the Cons and Ed team organised an event on dragonfly ID.
The event was in two parts and is suitable for beginners.
Stuart Fraser, Environmental Records Officer for Greater Manchester Ecology Unit kindly agreed to lead us in this learning experience. On Thursday 18th August at 7pm he gave us a presentation by Zoom as an introduction to Dragonfly Identification.
and this was followed on Sunday 21st August 2022 at 1pm with a site visit to Lords Wood in Castleton for an afternoon of dragonfly spotting.
Stuart has selected this location as there have been a number of dragonfly species recorded here in the past.
