Potteric Carr Visitor Centre, Mallard Way
Doncaster,  DN4 8DB Map

Potteric Carr is the flagship of over 80 Reserves managed and run by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust located on the outskirts of Doncaster. It has 13 hides and 1 viewing screen, spread over an area of approx 500 acres to include open water, reedbeds, woodland, marsh and small meadows, all of which create a wide diversity of wildlife. There are approx 7 miles of good paths around the Reserve which can be split nature walks, so members are more than welcome to just please themselves and wander where they like or just spend time relaxing in the lovely new Visitor Centre opened 12 months ago. Winter is the busiest time on the lakes and ponds at Potteric, with lots of wetland birds present. Bitterns are now breeding on the Reserve and are regularly sighted as are many varieties of ducks and geese.
