Our July project will link with the British Dragonfly Society. They are running a National Dragonfly Challenge and want as many people as possible to join in.
All you have to do is pick one day during Dragonfly Week (15th-23rd July) and get out and about to count the dragonflies you see at your garden pond, local river or any other wetland. You don’t need any prior experience of dragonfly watching; there’s a handy spotter’s sheet you can download from Dragonfly Challenge to work out which species you see and then send your count results to them. You’ll find all details of how to take part at the web page as well.
Remember to also send your results to firstname.lastname@example.org
You can also join in with our Walk on July 15th
